Patient privacy
When you have a prescription dispensed from this pharmacy, we are required to record some information about you. This information will help us to deal with any questions that you may have. It you will allow us to use this as a safety aid when you buy medicines over the counter. |
Repeat prescription service
We can arrange to collect your repeat prescription from your doctors’ surgery and have it prepared and ready for you to collect from the pharmacy. If you are housebound, we can organise deliveries for you. To find out more see our “Repeat prescription collection” leaflet. |
Confidential advice you can trust
Our health is important to us, and we can offer you expert advice on every aspect of personal healthcare. Our pharmacist and staff undertake regular training so that they can keep up to date with information on new medicines and treatments. |
Prescription dispensing
We dispense both NHS and private prescriptions and you can talk in confidence to our pharmacist on how best to take your medicine. |
Emergency supplies
If you require a medicine in an emergency and you are unable to contact your doctor, we may be able to help. This service is only available for genuine emergencies and a charge may be made. |
Urgent prescriptions
If you have an urgent prescription that needs to be dispensed outside our normal hours then contact the police and they will arrange for a pharmacist to be called out. |
Safe disposal of medicines
If you have any medicines that are unwanted or past their expiry date, bring them to the pharmacy and we will dispose of them safely for you. |
Home health catalogue
We offer an extensive range of products designed for easier living in and around the home. These are available to order through our home health catalogue. |
Travel & holiday advice
If you are planning to travel or go on holiday we can help you and your family to plan for the trip. We can advise you on sun protection as well as remedies for insect bites, tummy upsets and other holiday complaints. If you are travelling further afield, we can advise you on vaccinations and malaria tablets. Whatever your destination, you can rest assure that we can help you with all your holiday and travel plans. |
Medicine containers
We put all tablets, capsules and liquids in child-resistant containers unless you ask us not to do so. This does not mean that the containers are “child-proof” – nothing is! So keep all medicines out of children’s reach. Patients who may need assistance in managing and taking their medicines can benefit from using our “monitored dosage containers”. There may be a charge for this service unless the Disability Discrimination Act covers you. |
Pregnancy tests & ovulation kits
If you’re thinking of starting a family, we can help with easy-to-use diagnostic kits for pregnancy and ovulation testing. Our pharmacist can provide guidance throughout your pregnancy and can advice mothers with young babies on everything from health to hygiene and nutrition.
